December 2014
A very merry Christmas & prosperous 2015 to all our Friends
Jack Lane

Well we have started the update a little earlier this year. Let's hope the inspiration continues. As is the custom Rosedale News will be on the web atwww.gwsjms.me.uk/xmas14.htm.

Holidays & Awaydays

We seem to have been to lots of places this year including several visits to the garden city of Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Glasgow and a lovely holiday with Katherine, Santi and the grandsons to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote.

We are slowly doing all the Canary Isles but still have to visit Tenerife and Fuertoventura.

We had a good hotel with all inclusive drinks and food which the boys thought was marvelous. We had to watch the waist lines though.

Debbie & Chris

Mikie has moved school and seems to have made new friends. He is doing well with his Sunday morning rugby or perhaps it's just the hot dogs at the end. He also has lots of badges from Beavers.

Mikie
Hunters Reach Debora spotted a job at Network Rail and reckoned she could do it (no it is not mending the lines). She sailed through the selection process and started with them in October at the Milton Keynes HQ. She has gained quite an enhancement over previous salary at Homebase which is all to the good as they have just moved to a new house in Bradwell Village from where she can cycle to work in central MK.

Chris is still working in London at Advanced 365 near the so called Silicon Roundabout. He cycles to MK station to catch a train to Euston then takes a Boris bike to work (hope they have showers there or it will be a bit sweaty)

Ben 2014
Young Ben is quite a lad now, he was three in August so will be at school in September next year. He never stops chattering
Chris & Debs

This year we will be celebrating Christmas at Chris and Debs new home in Milton Keynes where we will be joined by Deb's dad, Peter.

Kat and the boys are travelling down by train just after Christmas as she has to work on the big day - the babies just don't stop. Unfortunately Santi has to work in the period after Christmas so he will keep the home fires burning.

Another recent inovation was the startup of a new site for Middlewich Masonic Hall

A few weeks ago he ran a training seminar for various people aspiring to act as online information managers.

Janet continues with her work as Secretary to her choir and local WI. She also still works at the two local schools as an invigilator. So with that, dog walking, cooking and cleaning her time is filled.

Everything seems to take much longer these days- it must be the age thing. Graham celebrated his 70th birthday in March with a surprise family and friends dinner at a local restaurant. Janet joins him next February into the eighth decade..

Janet and her college friends continue to meet but with their busy lives getting a date to get together is getting quite hard. Three of them went to a recording of Countdown in early December, but one member preferred to go on a Mediterranean cruise with her husband!

Katherine continues her work as a midwife at the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital in Glasgow.

Santi still works at Tesco on the early shift. He reached the ripe old age of 40 in October and Janet went up to Glasgow to look after the boys while Katherine took him on a weekend jaunt to Amsterdam.

Ivan and Oscar continue to thrive at school and they are looking forward to going into their new school building after Easter.

Both are members of the Boy’s Brigade and both play in its football team. Janet had a rude awakening while she was in Glasgow- getting them to a cold and wet football pitch for 9.00am in the morning! Not what she is used to. Still they did win 4-2.
